# Compare Lighthouse Local vs. Promptwatch

Promptwatch tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI daily on every paid plan, with state and city tracking on its Business and agency plans, a content agent that publishes to your CMS and a managed service above that. Lighthouse Local checks the same assistants by city and service area or nationally from the first plan, with a plain-English fix list and specialists who make the fixes. ## Which one is built for you?

Two honest lists. Pick the one that sounds like your week.

### Choose Lighthouse Local if

- You want city-level tracking on the plan you start with, not on the third tier or an agency plan.
- You want a weekly answer on every question and daily checks only where it matters, with the monthly allowance printed on the card.
- You want a missing mention turned into work someone does for you, with your sign-off before it goes live.
- You want your clients inside a dashboard under your brand on your own domain from the first agency plan, and Beacon putting a branded audit on your site.

### Choose Promptwatch if

- You want every prompt checked daily on every paid plan, collected from the real product interfaces rather than an API.
- You want state and city tracking with a language per monitor, on Business or any agency plan.
- You want a content agent that drafts, reviews and publishes to Webflow, Framer or WordPress, with a managed service that runs it for you.
- You want unlimited client and pitch projects with 10 seats on one agency subscription, scheduled PDFs and a Looker Studio connector.

## Plans, side by side

Lighthouse Local prices come straight from our plan catalog. Promptwatch's are what its pricing page showed on October 13, 2026. A prompt count on its own undersells coverage, because Lighthouse Local runs every tracked prompt on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI, so compare the answer checks a month.

Promptwatch prices are in dollars as shown on its pricing page on the verified date, with a euro toggle beside them. Monthly and yearly billing are both offered, and the yearly figure is ten times the monthly one. Responses are the metered limit, one per prompt per model per run, so prompts, models and the daily cadence all draw on the same monthly pool.

## Responses are the meter

Promptwatch tracks every prompt daily on every paid plan, and the number that caps a plan is responses, not prompts. Its docs put it as prompts times models times 30 days, so 50 prompts on four models for a month is 6,000 responses, which is exactly Essential's cap, and the docs recommend no more than four models per monitor for that reason. The agency plans carry unlimited prompts with the responses capped instead, 10,000 a month on Kick-off. Response packs can be bought. For a brand that wants daily data on every prompt and will size the pool to match, responses are the number to watch.

The question to ask any vendor is how many answers a month your question list needs, and what happens when daily tracking on every model runs past the cap. On a response pool, a bigger model list or a second city raises the count, and the docs say usage pauses when the pool runs out.

Lighthouse Local prints a monthly allowance of AI answer checks on each plan's card above, with a weekly sweep over every tracked question and daily checks on the ones you mark, so a long question list is covered every week without running daily. Coverage is ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI from the first plan.

## Where a question gets pointed

Promptwatch's brands page says it tracks prompts at country, state and city level, with a local language for each region. Essential and Professional carry country-level tracking only. State and city tracking sits on Business, at $579 a month, and on all three agency plans, from Kick-off at $199. The city setting is a real local feature, and the card names the plan that carries it.

So ask two things of any tracker. On which plan does the city show up, and what does one more town cost? Four towns on a response-metered plan are four towns' worth of responses, and on a plan with country-level tracking they're one national answer.

Lighthouse Local points each question at a city and service area, or at the whole country, from the first plan, so the Mesa answer and the Tempe answer stay separate for a self-serve price. Adding a town means adding its question, and what moves your visibility most in that town comes back as a [ranked fix list](https://www.lighthouselocal.ai/how-it-works) in plain English.

## From action items to a published page

Promptwatch's answer to what to do next is Action Items, prioritized tasks that a daily agent surfaces with a reason and a one-click path to act. Beside it sit content gap analysis, briefs and a Content Agent that drafts, reviews and publishes to Webflow, Framer or WordPress, review-first by default with an optional auto-publish mode. Above that, on Business, is Agentic AI Search Optimization, a managed service where agents monitor, draft and publish while you review. If your gaps are mostly content and your site runs on one of those three CMSs, that loop is tight.

The pages we read describe the managed service in terms of content, so ask who handles a Business Profile category, a directory listing with an old number, or a claim that a person has to file.

Lighthouse Local orders the fixes by what moves your visibility most, and [our specialists make the fixes](https://www.lighthouselocal.ai/for-business) if you'd rather not, including on-page changes, Google Business Profile management and local citations, and you sign off on each before it goes live. If you want drafts landing in Webflow every week, that loop is Promptwatch's strength.

## Clients, pitches and the brand on the report

Promptwatch's agency plans put every client in its own project, with unlimited projects and pitch projects, 10 seats shared between staff and client contacts, and per-project viewer or editor access. Only the agency is invoiced. Its agencies page lists a white-label dashboard and branded, read-only client access to their own reporting. PDF reports are on Professional and above. For an agency that pitches with a live monitor, unlimited pitch projects remove the cap on how many prospects you can show.

Two questions to put to any vendor. Whose brand is on the login a client sees, on which plan, and can a prospect see a result before anyone signs? Promptwatch answers the first on its agencies page without naming a plan, so get it on the quote.

From the first agency plan, your clients log into a [white-label dashboard](https://www.lighthouselocal.ai/for-agencies) on your own domain, with unlimited client reports and a shared prompt pool. Lighthouse Local's Beacon puts [an embeddable AI visibility audit](https://www.lighthouselocal.ai/beacon) on your own site, so a prospect runs their own check before anyone has called them. Put [our agency plans](https://www.lighthouselocal.ai/pricing) beside Kick-off, Growth and Scale and cost one client on each.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Lighthouse Local an alternative to Promptwatch?

Yes, and the two are close on coverage. Both check ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI, and both track competitors on every model. The differences are where a question gets pointed and who does the fix. Promptwatch puts city tracking on Business and the agency plans and meters usage in responses. Lighthouse Local points each question at a city and service area from the first plan, prints a monthly allowance of AI answer checks on the card, and has our specialists make the fixes if you'd rather not.

### Which AI platforms does Promptwatch track?

Its pricing table lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Claude, Gemini, Meta Llama, DeepSeek, Grok and Claude Code, and its docs say every standard plan includes all active models. The brand cards read four models at a glance, so check the table rather than the card. Lighthouse Local checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI on every plan, so coverage isn't where the two differ.

### How much does Promptwatch cost?

Brand plans are Essential at $95 a month with 50 prompts, Professional at $245 with 150, and Business at $579 with 350 and city tracking. Agency plans are Kick-off at $199, Growth at $399 and Scale at $799, all with unlimited prompts and responses capped at 10,000, 25,000 and 65,000 a month. Yearly billing is ten times the monthly rate, and a euro toggle shows the same plans in euros. The number that matters on a response-metered plan is the cap, so compare it with the AI answer checks each of our cards above lists.

### Does Promptwatch track local questions by city?

Yes, on the right plan. Its brands page says it tracks prompts at country, state and city level, with a local language for each region. State and city tracking is listed on Business at $579 a month and on all three agency plans, while Essential and Professional carry country-level tracking. For a brand in three towns that means the third tier or an agency plan. Lighthouse Local points each question at a city and service area, or nationally, on every plan, including the first one.

### Does Promptwatch have a free trial?

A 7-day trial on monthly billing, for Essential, Professional, Kick-off and Growth, with Business and Scale on a demo instead. Its docs also name Explore, a free entry tier that runs a small prompt set on a single AI model. The pages we read don't say whether a card is needed. Lighthouse Local's self-serve plans include a 14-day free trial, twice as long, every feature included.

### Can agencies white-label Promptwatch?

Its agencies page lists a white-label dashboard and says clients can be given branded, read-only access to their own reporting without seeing your other accounts, with each client as its own project and 10 seats shared across staff and clients. Which plan includes it, and whether that covers your own domain, aren't stated on the pages we read, so ask before you sign. Lighthouse Local includes the white-label dashboard on your own domain on every agency plan, with unlimited client reports. Beacon, sold separately, puts a branded audit on your own site.

### What counts as a response on Promptwatch?

One answer from one model to one prompt on one run. Because every paid plan tracks daily, the docs put monthly usage at prompts times models times 30, so 50 prompts across four models is 6,000 responses a month, which is Essential's cap. Adding a model or a second monitor for another city raises that, and response packs can be bought. That's why the docs suggest four models per monitor. Lighthouse Local prints a monthly allowance of AI answer checks on each plan and counts a check the same way, one prompt on one platform, with the weekly sweep covering every question.
