# Ask Claude about your business.

Connect Lighthouse Local to Claude and ask it about your business in plain words, like what AI said about you this week. Setup takes about five minutes and works on any Claude plan, including Free.

## What do I need?

You need three things.

- Your Lighthouse Local login.
- Any Claude plan. The Free plan allows one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it first.
- Your connection link from [Settings > AI Assistants](https://app.lighthouselocal.ai/account/settings/ai-assistants?utm_source=lighthouselocal&utm_medium=marketing-site&utm_campaign=connect-claude&utm_content=connect) in Lighthouse Local.

## How do I connect it?

It takes four steps.

1. In claude.ai or the desktop app, open Customize > Connectors.
2. Click Add custom connector, paste your connection link, and click Add.
3. Click Connect, then sign in with your Lighthouse Local login.
4. If you belong to more than one Lighthouse Local organization, pick the one whose sites you want Claude to see.

## What can I ask?

Ask in plain words. Here are a few to start with.

- "Does Claude recommend my business when people search for what I do?"
- "What did Claude say about my business yesterday?"
- "Which competitors show up more than I do?"
- "Which websites does AI trust instead of mine?"
- "What should I fix first on my website?"

## What if it doesn't work?

Most problems have a quick fix.

- It asks you to pick an organization. Pick the one with the sites you want Claude to see. To switch later, disconnect and connect again.
- Claude can't find your Lighthouse Local data. Open the connector in Claude's settings and choose Refresh tools list. If that doesn't help, disconnect and connect again.
- Claude won't let you add it. The Free plan allows one custom connector, so remove another one or upgrade your Claude plan. On a Team or Enterprise plan, ask an Owner to add it under Organization settings > Connectors, then connect to it yourself from Customize > Connectors.

## Is my data safe?

Yes. Claude can read your Lighthouse Local data but can never change it.

- It only sees the sites in the organization you sign in with.
- It uses your normal Lighthouse Local login, so there's no new password to manage.
- You can disconnect it any time from Claude's settings.
