Compare Lighthouse Local vs. AirOps
AirOps is an AI content and discovery platform that pairs daily visibility tracking across up to eight answer engines with content workflows, strategists and CMS publishing, with ChatGPT only on its Solo plan. Lighthouse Local covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI on every plan, by city and service area or nationally, with fixes our specialists can make. Here's how they compare, every AirOps fact sourced from its own pages.
Which one is built for you?
Two honest lists. Pick the one that sounds like your week.
Choose Lighthouse Local if
- You want to know what the plan costs before you sign up, in a dollar figure on the page, with Gemini, Claude and Google AI checked from the first tier.
- You sell in towns as well as countries, and want each question pointed at the place a customer is standing in, or at the whole country when that fits.
- You want a plain-English answer with no task budget to manage, so adding a competitor or a second city never means working out what it costs in tasks.
- You run several clients and want each one inside a dashboard under your brand, with unlimited client reports, from your first agency plan.
Choose AirOps if
- You want tracking and content production in one platform, with Opportunities that feed Grids, Playbooks and Workflows and publish to Drupal, Contentful, Sanity, WordPress, Webflow or Prismic.
- You want AI citations joined to Google Search Console and GA4 per URL, so you can see which pages to refresh and what each one earns.
- You want strategists who work alongside your team from strategy through execution, delivered as one engagement rather than software plus a separate services contract.
- You want an Insights API and an MCP server with a native Claude connector, so your own AI visibility data answers inside Claude or your BI tool.

Plans, side by side
Lighthouse Local prices come straight from our plan catalog. AirOps's are what its pricing page showed on October 13, 2026. A prompt count on its own undersells coverage, because Lighthouse Local runs every tracked prompt on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI, so compare the answer checks a month.

See full pricingWhich assistants your plan actually checks
Read the engine column before anything else. AirOps's Solo plan is "ChatGPT Insights Only", and its Pro plan opens Insights across seven or more answer engines, which its docs list as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and Grok. Claude is on by default for Enterprise workspaces and other plans ask their account team, and each Claude answer costs four billing units against one for the rest. A region is a country, 49 of them, and you can layer personas on top. Its docs give the formula plainly. Prompt answers a month equal platforms times regions times one plus your named personas, times 30 days.
The question to ask any vendor is simple. On the plan I can buy today, which assistants are checked, and where is each question pointed? A customer who asks Gemini for a dentist in Mesa is a question that a plan listing one engine and a country doesn't ask, and the vendor's own pages tell you which plan that is.
Lighthouse Local checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI on every plan, from the first self-serve tier, and points each question at a city and service area or at a country. The pricing cards above show each plan's monthly allowance of AI answer checks, with a weekly sweep over every question and daily checks on the ones you mark, so the plan you buy is the coverage you get.
What a task buys, and who does the work
AirOps prices by the task, which its pricing page calls the currency for actions like generating content or extracting data. Solo carries 35,000 tasks a month and Pro 100,000, with Solo's overage at $0.025 a task, and neither plan shows a dollar price on the page. The tasks matter because tracking is one half of the product. Opportunities, its list of creation, refresh, outreach and community actions, feed Grids, Playbooks and Workflows that draft and publish content to your CMS, with human review steps along the way. On top of the software, its pages describe strategists who shape the strategy and do the work, delivered as one engagement. For a content team already producing at volume, that's a coherent model.
The next thing to ask is what one more thing costs. If a second country, a persona or a Claude answer each draw from the same task pool as your articles, you need the formula and the price before you can budget a month, and AirOps publishes the formula but quotes the price. Then ask who turns a gap into a published fix when the strategist isn't on your plan.
Lighthouse Local hands every plan a ranked fix list in plain English, ordered by what moves your visibility most, with the plan's monthly allowance of AI answer checks shown on the pricing card. If nobody on your side wants that job, our specialists make the fixes, including on-page changes, Google Business Profile management and local citations, and each one waits for your approval. If your team wants to generate and publish content at scale inside the same tool that tracks it, AirOps was built for that.
Running several clients in one account
Follow one agency with six clients through each product. On AirOps, Solo and Pro are each described as for one brand or project, with one Brand Kit apiece, and Enterprise opens unlimited Brand Kits and Knowledge Bases. Its pricing FAQ still mentions an Agency plan, but the plan table shows none, and the marketing agency page in its navigation now lands on the general solutions page. Nothing we read describes a client dashboard under your brand or a custom domain. What the enterprise page does state is SOC 2 Type II and SSO, and a Solutions Architect on the account.
Put two questions to any vendor and keep the replies. On which plan does the client's live view carry your brand, and what does one more client add to the bill each month? AirOps's pages leave both to the Enterprise conversation, so get them in writing before you move a client in.
From the first agency plan, our clients' dashboards carry your brand on your own domain, through a white-label dashboard with unlimited client reports and a shared prompt pool, no custom quote needed. SSO is included on our Enterprise and Agency Enterprise plans, and we don't hold a SOC 2 report today. Lighthouse Local's Beacon puts an embeddable AI visibility audit on your site, with published pricing, so a prospect sees their gaps before the first call. Line up our agency plans against an AirOps Enterprise quote and cost six clients on each.
Frequently asked questions
Is Lighthouse Local an alternative to AirOps?
Yes, when AI visibility is the job. AirOps pairs tracking with content production, strategists and CMS publishing, so it suits a content team that wants to measure and produce in one engagement. Lighthouse Local is built around the AI answer itself. It checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI on every plan by city and service area or nationally, ranks the fixes in plain English, and has our specialists make them if you'd rather not run a content operation to close a gap.
Which AI platforms does AirOps track?
Its docs list ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and Grok. The pricing page gives Solo ChatGPT insights only and Pro insights across seven or more engines, and Claude is on by default for Enterprise with other plans asking their account team, at four billing units an answer. If your customers ask Gemini or Perplexity, the Solo plan lists neither. Lighthouse Local checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI on every plan, including the first one.
How much does AirOps cost?
Its pricing page lists Solo, Pro and Enterprise with their features but no dollar price for any of them. Pricing is based on task volume, with Solo at 35,000 tasks a month and $0.025 for each extra task, Pro at 100,000 tasks, and Enterprise custom, quoted on use cases and content volume with no per-seat fees. So the number you'll pay comes from signup or a sales call. Our plans show a price and a monthly allowance of AI answer checks on the cards above, billed monthly or annually.
Does AirOps track local questions by city?
Its docs define regions as the countries you track a prompt in, with 49 country codes accepted by the API and personas layered on top, and nothing on the pages we read describes a city, service-area or Google Business Profile option. So the answer you get is national, which suits a brand that sells everywhere and won't suit one that sells in three towns. Lighthouse Local points each question at a city and service area, or nationally, on every plan, so a gap in one town shows up as that town.
Does AirOps have a free trial?
Yes. Its pricing FAQ describes a 14-day free trial with no payment details needed until the trial ends, which stops when the 14 days pass, the trial tasks run out, or you upgrade. The FAQ names a Scale plan for the trial's features, while the plan table today shows Solo, Pro and Enterprise, so confirm at signup which plan your trial mirrors. Lighthouse Local's self-serve plans include a 14-day free trial, every feature included, with tracking from day one.
Can agencies white-label AirOps?
Nothing on the pages we read describes white-label reports, a client dashboard under your brand or a custom domain. What the pages do describe is one brand or project per Solo or Pro plan, unlimited Brand Kits on Enterprise, and an Agency plan named in the pricing FAQ without a row in the plan table. Lighthouse Local includes the white-label dashboard on every agency plan, with unlimited client reports, and Beacon for a branded audit on your own site.
Can I ask Claude or ChatGPT about my AirOps data?
Yes, and it's one of AirOps's strengths. Its MCP server brings Insights, Brand Kits, Knowledge Bases, Playbooks and Workflows into any MCP client, with a native connector in the Claude directory that renders charts and tables in the conversation, and an Insights API for mention rate, share of voice and citations. Both need a paid workspace or an eligible trial. Lighthouse Local offers the same kind of connection, so you can ask ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini about your own visibility data, and our dashboard answers in plain English for the people who'd rather not.
